Open "Micro" Lessons

We use our voices every day, but how many of us really know much about how they work?  Maybe you’ve heard people say that some people are “born with it”, and if you’re not, tough luck.

Happily for us, that’s not true!  Your voice is a part of your body just like any other, and working with a teacher who understands how your living instrument functions can help you to overcome obstacles like vocal fatigue and range limitations, while increasing your control and shaping your voice into a true expression of you- whether that be through speaking, chanting, or singing!

On Sunday, May 7, 2017, vocologist and singer Rachel Blacker Rynick will be offering a day of open “micro” voice lessons: short one-on-one explorations of the unique strengths and challenges of your living instrument.  Lessons will run for 15 minutes each 10am-12pm and 1pm-3pm.  Please feel free to arrive early for your lesson or stay late after to observe other voices!

We are pleased to offer these lessons on a pay-what-you-can basis.  Suggested contribution is $15.  If $15 is a burden, only pay $10.  If you can afford to pay $20 or more, your extra contribution will help subsidize someone else.

Everyone has a voice.  Let yours sing!
